The Right To Keep and Bear Arms

The “Second Amendment Sanctuary State Act” passed by the 87th Legislature will do little to protect our right to keep and bear arms.

According to Rep. Justin Holland, author of the bill, “We’re not precluding the federal government from coming and enforcing their laws.  We’re just not gonna do it for them.”  Therefore, laws, rules and regulations adopted by the federal government will still be enforced by federal law enforcement agencies in Texas. All gun dealers will still be compelled to comply with federal regulations to keep their license and buyers will have to comply with federal regulations to purchase firearms and ammunition.  To truly protect our right to keep and bear arms Texas must reclaim its status as an independent nation.
